About Cole Sandhofer

Cole Sandhofer is an artist and visual journalist working out of Bellingham, Washington. His stories and illustration have been published in various newspapers and magazines such as The Western Front and Klipsun.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Cole was inspired to create from an early age. His schoolwork would be covered in doodles and he was encouraged by his parents to pursue his love for art. This pursuit led him to Western Washington University where he decided his work could be used in a more powerful capacity as a visual journalist.

Cole combines humorous reporting with playful illustrations to tell his stories. He has always had a keen interest in visual art and began his career working as comic illustrator for his college newspaper. He has gone on to develop a love for journalism but has not lost the creativity and joy forged in his early days as an artist. Using his skills as an illustrator to aide in his narratives, Cole enjoys showing his stories as much as he enjoys telling them.

When not drawing or writing, Cole can be found playing guitar. He an avid lover of music and enjoys playing with his band and going to concerts. He is an active member of the Bellingham D.I.Y. music scene and works to expand the availability and inclusivity of shows in the area.
